Where did the Lazy Dog Cafe name come from? One snowy afternoon, walking back into the lodge after a long morning on the slopes, Chris noticed a dog lying by the toasty fireplace. Commenting to his buddies on how much he loved his time hanging out there, he told them he wished everyone could enjoy life as much as that "lazy dog' by the fire. On their last run down the ski slopes in Jackson Hole, everyone has one thing on their mind: get these skis off and head to the lodge. Whether you're sitting by the fire or bellying up to the bar, the servers and bartenders know what you like and treat you like you're one of the family. The lodge has cold beer, hot chocolate, incredible food and great music, making it the place to be in town. Just like the lodge in Jackson Hole, the Lazy Dog offers the perfect environment for all ages, making the entire restaurant the place to be for a quick dinner with the family, a meandering meal with friends or a night out on the town!

Our go-to brunch spot(but their lunch and dinner is great too). Reliable, tasty food and nice craft/local beers. Their mules are delicious and their hair of the dog bloody marys and mimosa flights are a great brunch treat. They also have a fun rotating seasonal menu. A bit on the pricey side, but the quality won't let you down.

I am all in favor in supporting business during this time when restaurants really need our support. But the food they gave us for the pick up meal, was food that grocery stores won't sell. Your better off putting an order at a grocery store for pick up if you want quality food. I'm really surprised because this was one of my favorite places.Update changed from 1 star to 5 stars. My wife emailed the manager showing him (Rob) pictures of the issues we had with the quality of food we received. His response was fast and he was very concern with our issues. He email a apology with a full refund. We always love eating here and will continue doing so knowing they have people who really care about their service.
